Your journey from beginner to Divemaster starts here!
In Paekalda, there is a diving school under the guidance of professional instructors, where you can safely start your diving journey from the very beginning (OWD) and complete various training courses in the future.
What makes Paekalda diving school courses special is that all activities – both theory lessons and water lessons – take place in the comfortable rooms and on the ferry at the divers’ paradise Rummu Quarry in Paekalda, and the training can be done quickly and intensively. We do OWD exam dives with a raft in the most exciting diving spots in Rummu. Faster is the possibility to receive “license” in just one weekend.

The following courses are available:

  • PADI Open Water Diver the first diving course for beginners.
  • PADI Advanced Open Water Diver
  • Emergency First Response
  • Rescue Diver
  • Divemaster

More about the first course (OWD):

The PADI Open Water Diver course is the first major step in becoming a diver. After completing this training, you will be able to dive independently and rent equipment all over the world. Under the guidance of an instructor, you will learn the basics of diving. We start the course with the theoretical part and continue with pool diving, open water diving must also be done to get a license. In the OWD training, the equipment is provided by the trainer and included in the course price.

The course consists of two parts:
I Theory and pool dives
During the 5 theory modules, we go through all the knowledge necessary for safe diving. We talk about pressure, buoyancy, equipment. We discuss how to plan dives and then execute them.
After that, we can finally get into the water – that’s why we came to the course. During the first practice lessons, we do a number of different exercises. Most of the skills acquired through these exercises are necessary for our daily diving. Some are only for special situations, so that we can behave adequately and solve situations. Practice dives are the first introduction to water in a safe environment.

II Open water diving
Now we have the opportunity to see the mystical underwater world with our own eyes. We will do 4 open water lessons, where we will repeat parts, previously tried exercises. However, the main focus is on the diving itself. We practice buoyancy, body position under water and, of course, proper breathing. All dives take place under the direct supervision of an instructor. We do all the open water dives of the course in different places, so that you can see as much as possible already during the course. Of course, we do open water dives in our home quarry lake in Rummu.

Diving is not difficult, but requires certain knowledge and skills. It must be taken into account that it takes time to acquire skills, so don’t demand perfect buoyancy from yourself right away. The course can be completed in a few days. If you want to take it easy, it is also possible to do the OWD course for a longer period of time. The first part of the course (theory and practice dives) is valid for 1 year, i.e. the open water dives must be done no later than one year after completing the first part.

If you want to become a diver, you must be at least 10 years old and in good health when you come to the OWD course. Physical disability is not always an obstacle to becoming a diver.
Those who complete the OWD course receive an international license that is valid for life and allows diving to a depth of up to 18 meters. Come dive and find a beautiful underwater world for yourself.
